Sartre: "Friendship can also become totalitarian."

Hmmmm....

Anyway, I haven't read much Sartre. I prefer Camus. Right now, in fact, I'm reading The Plague again -- for no particular reason.

Or was it Camus who said that bit about friendship?

Camus, "Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend.”

...I'm sure many husbands and wives could attempt to become totalitarians as well.
