Yes, I used to listen to the Jackson Brown version... but I never really heard and/or thought about the lyrics until I heard this version.

Second class year (77-78) at the Academy I had a roommate from Connecticut. He was a deckie, crew team nut, who played Jackson Brown and/or Dan Folgelberg records every night when he went to bed.

When I heard this track the other day, I thought that for the first time I really heard was Brown was signing about.

Funny, I could sing along with song, but I never understood the words... 'til now.
