Advocating Invisible Gated Communities

Sergio Cantone looks like Lou Reed!

I remember how it really hit me, when I was living in Los Angeles in the late 80's, these gated communities all over the place, set apart and scattered about, placed in such ways that you'd hardly be aware of them unless you knew someone in them. I think that was the final straw for me when it came to libertarianism and any sort of Republican conservatism. Structurally, governmentally, California is essentially a libertarian state - or the closest thing we have to one among the 50 states. And we see the horrific level of disparity, of separation, of the fear and loathing that go with it.

Now, of course, these gated communities are everywhere. A very bad sign of things to come.

Well, I'm happy to hear that Beverly Hills and all the rich celebrity communities are all "Republican" and "Libertarian" now...

Global capitalism and the need for "cheap labor" and uncontrolled migration are the reason why DEMOCRATS live in gated communities. They sure as hell never "purposefully" move to Watts.
