If I were you, I quit the hyper-emphasis on Zizek, whom I have come to see as an aimiable rogue, a charming charlatan, –– a mountebank, if you will ––, and begin to do an in-depth exposé, critique and careful anlaysis of Antonio Gramsci and the influence the members of the Frankfurt School have had on the West.
Here's the problem I have, Cultural Marxism couldn't have captured the universities without help. THAT help came from GLOBAL CAPITAL, as they experienced a confluence of interests. The Catholic Church is also a "globalizing" enterprise.
To focus on cultural Marxism is to let their globalist neo-liberal and neo-conservative aiders and abettors off the hook. They used Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher to subvert classical liberal thought, leaving paleocon patriots like Patrick Buchanan to seek allies on the Left. Zizek, IMO, is one not taken in by neo-liberalism. He's an old fashioned "working class" Marxist. He never believed that race and/or sexual orientation could adequately substitute for workers as a class-basis for revolution. AFter all, THAT is the proper basis for revolution, not race or sex.
Many old-line Marxists like Zizek want the same things that old-line Nationalist capitalists want. I see them as allies. They want a fair deal for workers, I want a fair deal for workers. The only problem I have with them is their ever-expansive (global) "elitism". I prefer nationality based classical-liberal "small-government" approaches.
And I don't see it as a Jewish problem. I see it as an "intellectual-elitism" problem. Some people are just too smart for their own good.
