If the 'progressive movement' loses to Trump 2020 you'll have the status quo for at least a generation.

The DNC in 2020 is in the same exact spot the RNC was in in 2016. Either they go Bernie populist, or remain Bloomberg elitist. Either way, the DNC loses.

The formula of the Party-State, as the defining feature of twentieth-century Communism, thus needs to be complicated: there is always a gap between Party and State, corresponding to the gap between the Ego-Ideal (symbolic Law) and the Superego, for the Party remains the half-hidden obscene shadow which redoubles the State structure. There is here no distance, its organization embodying a fundamental distrust of the State organs and mechanisms, as if they need to be continually kept in check. A true twentieth-century-style Communist never fully accepts the State: there always has to be a vigilant agency outside of State control, with the power to intervene in the State's business.

The Republican "brand" isn't "Trump", it's "anti-globalism" (aka - nationalist/ America 1st) The Democrat "brand" was once "Workers" but has devolved into an intersectionality-ranked identity-centric "Lumpen Proletariate" globalist victimocracy. After 2020, I suspect, it will have "redefined" its' brand. But until then...

Bloomberg had been a life-long Democrat before he ran for Mayor of NYC as a Republican. He differs from Trump in that his entire empire was built upon Financial Data Services (aka - WALL Street) and related connections. In that respect, he's a globalist with fewer Trumpian-like LOCAL Main Street (real estate) connections. He wants to BUY the DNC for global capitalism and many of the WOKE lumpen proles could care less who pays the bills (so long as its' not them). Workers, however WILL defect to Trump and the Republicans unless Bernie can convince them to stay and take the new socialized STATE sponsored nationalized health care/energy sector jobs he's promised to create. It'll be a hard sell in light of recent Russia/ Venezuela experience... but if he can credibly promise China-like GDP growth rates... he might have something.

The only wild-card might be the Chinese flu virus' global economic effects come November... and how hard it hits the US economy.

The obvious megatrend indicated by President Trump's victory and ENORMOUS popularity among "The Real People of the USA" plus Blessed Boris's success in effecting BREXIT at long last, despite the resistance by the balky British Parliament, is for a revival of NATIONALISM, and a grwug resentment and rejection of Brussels' INTERNATIONALIST Dictarshit.

Henry Ford's "International Jew" is on the run –– again at last.

Hopefully the current longing for a return to NATIONALISM will soon be followed by an equally strong return to NATIVISM.
