  1. Oh... I played that game.

Got even whole bunch of em... to suit to any post.

But... found it's useless. In the end. ;-P

Avatars -- most useless waste of creativity. :-(((

  3. A blogging friend of many years. Why do you ask? She doesn't blog herself anymore, but does occasionally show up and say "hi".

She's a former teacher of mostly "home-schooled" students.

  4. Well... rare occurrence... to see new face here.

    No offense.

    Watched your movie. "Unbroken".

About prisoners of war in Japan camps. Struggling. Withstanding beating and etc.

    Why they not "negotiated"?

Because they are from "great" country... I mean, big one, which predestined to win?

That is your idea behind all your attempts?

    No offense.

I just trying to make a clue.

I just dunno how people from "great countries" thinking.

  5. Why?

    No. Okay, maybe. In 1940:
    Japan’s population was 73 million.
The US’s population was 133 million.
Japan’s GDP was ~$10 billion (including plunder wealth)
The US’s GDP was ~$100 billion. (BTW — that was 1940, by 1945, the US’s GDP was $230 billion.)
Japan produced 18 aircraft carriers during the War.
The US produced 124 aircraft carriers during the War.
Japan produced a pittance in fossil fuels during the War.
The US produced 60% of the world’s petroleum (and around 75% of the refined petroleum fuels).

Should we now review Russia vs Ukraine statistics?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Predestined? No. Just "highly likely" to win.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Ukraine is the "underdog". As the underdog, it needs to think "out of the box" to win. If it acts "conventionally" it will almost certainly lose. And I hate to tell you this, the Americans are not going to allow you to act "unconventionally". So unless you dump them and do some unconventional things, you will almost certainly lose.

  8. What is the betting line in Las Vegas?

If there were one, I'd say that these odds aren't even close. I'd put Ukraine winning @ 1:100

\\The US produced 124 aircraft carriers during the War.

Most of em escort quicky trash... because somebody was whooping your ass.

Japanese... obviously didn't have such problem.

\\Should we now review Russia vs Ukraine statistics?

    So???

Why they NOT conquered Kyiv "in 3 days"???

    Your version? ;-P

And that is NOT "great help from USA"... cause you know that even TWO year since... it is laughable. To call THAT... "big help".

\\Predestined? No. Just "highly likely" to win.

And how that relates to that POWs in Japanese possession?

Absolutely DUNNO what you talking about here...

Sending drones on Mother Russia -- is it... conventional???

    Sunking ships with other drones?

    Making big bums all around?

On the contrary -- it looks more like Pentagon LIKED it very much... and trying to force Ukraine to do MORE of such "conventionally" unconventional acts...

as that is something, what CIA and Pentagon WOULD LIKE... but never would be allowed to do. ;-)

  12. Return to 1939.

So what if Poland would not win??? -- asked smag Brits.

And received bombs on their dumb heads... how long after?

Ah, yes. Less then in a year.

  13. Well... I understand why you do not understand.

It... historical experience of TWO world wars... is not in your genes.

But it is IN genes of Europeans -- and look how much their overview changed, lately.

A feint does not aim for achieving victory. It aims at diversion. Like "Fortitude" and Patton's "inflatable army" (Quicksilver) on D-Day.

And how that relates to that POWs in Japanese possession?

Knowing the truth, and not being decived by enemy propaganda.

Sending drones on Mother Russia -- is it... conventional???

It won't win the war, either. Air power may help, but victory requires boots on the ground. You're not Curtis LeMay and you don't have enough drones to create a bomber mafia.

/It... historical experience of TWO world wars... is not in your genes.

No? My Uncle Hank was a US Marine who died at Iwo Jima. My father then joined the US Army Air Corp (USAF) and was part of US Occupation Forced, Japan. He was a career military enlisted man. I spent 7 1/2 years of my young life in Spain in Venezuela. It's not in MY genes? I went to a US Service Academy.

  15. In WWII the NAZI's always had the better tech. But Jets and V1/V2 rockets didn't win the war for them.

  16. They... would not win... even if they'd win.

    They was PREDESTINED to fail.

Because of caveat in their core ideation.

What Hitler wanted? European Empire under rule of Germans?

But rule needs troops to control over conquered.

And he PROMISED to his troop that he will demilitarize em, after Great Victory.

By making each of em... a landlord. :-)))))))))))))))))

    Yeah.

Let liliPut think that way... till too late. :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))

\\/It... historical experience of TWO world wars... is not in your genes.

    \\No?

    Yes.

Ask Jews. Ask Poles. Ask... that same Ukrainians. And many-many other nations and ethnicities.

    That same Germans.

\\My Uncle Hank was a US Marine who died at Iwo Jima.

    My sincere condolences.

But... do your grand-mother have had experience being under nazi occupation? Survived through bombing raids? Gave birth to a Russian bastard?

\\ I spent 7 1/2 years of my young life in Spain in Venezuela. It's not in MY genes?

Being on a side of victorious military?

    Well... probably.

Same as what liliPut pounding at.

As most of Russians was NEVER under occupation. And even did not saw a war. (like Putin himself) Same as USA.

While all other people -- just look at map of German WW2 conquest -- from white rocks of England... and till the white-topped mountains of Caucasus...

That is space where NOT soldiers ONLY struggled and suffered, and died.

But women and children, and elderly... met their bitter end.

And those who survived -- transferred it into their progeny.

Even without their will and want.

    Epigenetics.

  23. Boots on the ground are the precursor to victory...

The average Ukrainian soldier is 43-years-old, according to Time Magazine. When the war began in February 2022, the average Ukrainian soldier was between 30 and 35 years old. Ukraine is battling mounting manpower problems more than 20 months into the war.

    Ukraine = empty boots.

    ReplyDelete
  24. ...and that doesn't consider the T3R:

To proper organise their logistics, modern armies seek to maintain a ratio between combat units and support units, or the so-called tooth-to-tail ratio, of up to 1:10 or 1:15. In other words, an army requires 10-15 support personnel for every soldier fighting the enemy.

    ReplyDelete

  26. With the current emphasis on “empathy” as the foundation of ethics, (Lem's) Aspernicus’ insight, correct as it is, is shocking precisely because it points out that emotions are easily numbed by the scale of the atrocity. It is easy to empathize with a single victim; six million is just a number. But if empathy fails, says Aspernicus, we need to appeal to intellect. We have to understand the Holocaust “not for the sake of the dead but for the sake of the living”.

Not for the sake of Ukraine or Europe.

    Or some ethereal "values".

    For OWN sake.

    For OWN survival even.

Because to rising in power RFia and China... elimination of USA... is TOO DAMN obvious solution.

Because WITHOUT USA... they can do with this whole World whatever they like.

    And MOST DAMNING.

That that "final solution"... seems like have virtually no drawbacks and backbites.

Sending millions to build cities up to the North Pole?

No. Probably. That is not that much "harsh" as starving to death... probably.

    Yawn.

Do you know that shady stories... about Germans making planes/rockets... that could rich New York.

Today. With modern techs. Such rockets is just off the shelf things.

As well as heads for em... with much more "interesting" content than TNT.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Just that same scenario.

North Korea... or even better, just some unknown ship/sub launches rocket with nuklear head... onto your mainland.

There... where are NO coverage of anything anti-air/anti-missile (checked by Chinese spy balloons previously).

    Big mushroom growing.

    A-a-a-and???

Reaction of your Pentagon? WH? MSM?

Nuke out NK? China and RFia will sworn "support and protect" it.

Or even better... whom you unleash your wrath at... for an UNKNOWN origin ship???

Just bomb out some random country???

As you did with Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Or... maybe start negotiations???

    With whom? About what?

PS And that... is just simplest scenario... that grow more and more possible, in our current Brave New World.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And what is totally avoids my understanding.

That that while your enemies are in most vulnerable position (RFia's propaganda NOW chanting about "we cannot allow revolution(s)... as in 1917 and 1991"),

And you still have your trump cards (pun intended ;-)).

You proposing to waste this historical chance? What for???

  45. That allegory with casino... is not exactly right.

Not casino. But hidden and shady club of high stakes poker players ("Molly's game", watched?)...

Club that existed... since primordial times.

And you was playing there. With roughly good results. Somewhat above average. But far from being unbeatable.

    But.

In result of your last bluff. Suddenly TOO successful, even to your own expectations.

You gained something like position of honorary president of that club -- one, who do not need to play anymore. As your last stake was too high and unbeatable.

But... your rivals NOT stopped desiring your demise.

So, now they just in one step from starting colluding against you.

    Through.

As you are unbeatable -- nobody will dare to challenge your last bet.

They started... not, they was doing that all of the time.

    But now.

They found your ally. No, not ally even. Just feint acquaitant.

But one, you made mistake to show your interest in. And even claimed to protect.

    So.

Now they started their attacks on you. Through that loser. More and more.

To make you "wink". To THEIR bluff.

Mere "wink" that will cost you immensely -- if you'll do.

Because they will start challenging you more, MORE and MOARRRR!

    And you.

Say frankly -- not ready to such challenges.

Rulez of that game chaged. in 9/11.

NK, China, RFia... can give nuke to some "terrorists".

That either would smaggle it on your territory. Or create some delivery device. Like Palestinians make rockets.
Or... take some drone off the shelf.

    WHOM you'd be attacking???

If... most clever... is to make that terrorists from name of Americans.

Yeah. Your deep state will know... or just will "know", who.

But... would your POTUS. ANY OF EM. Have enough balls... to start a war with China??? RFia???

THAT is that bluff I mentioned higher.

\\ ...and if they want to play with us with conventional weapons?

    For now...

but, in progress you are the same as Ukraine in compare with RFia. 1/5 in population.

And if you'd lose your allies... that, what your dRump propose -- betray Europe.

I would not give a damn about you.

\\Now if they nuke Ukraine, they'll probably get away with it.
