Each piece (on its' own) will not work. Blend parts of them together.... who knows. I think that there are some good ideas there.

That's... looks like that same thing I tripping over in conversation with you. Again and again.

You seems like don't get what sistemic view and meta-thinking.
And I cannot teach you. And not out of bad feelings. I just not a didactic type of a guy. I "follow my lead" guy.

  2. About video.

    1. Yes, its' been replaced by "kitsch" in many countries, but the US in particular.

    2. It's why the old left (steeped in folk music) were so upset when Bob Dylan went "electric". Kafka "Josephine" wasn't allowed to go 'electric".

    3. Workers don't have the time to create folk music. Not enough "idleness".

    4. So our so-called "culture" is manufactured for us by the Culture Industry and Hollywood as "kitsch".

    5. Well.

This video is exactly is a kitch.

      Yawn.

  3. So what is meta-thinking to you? Schizoid (horizontal)(before power represses the flows of desire) or hierarchical (after power represses the flows)?

    3. Isn't that where the "meta" comes in? From post-modern to meta-modern? From a single power to multiple powers. To many futures, and not just one.

      Not power.

Angle from which you are looking at it.

You can look at world from the level if grass roots (it's how you like to look at it, it seems)

Or... with hawks eye, from up-up over here.

  5. I might be to be upset, but strangelly enough I find your non-understanding the same or even more interesting. Then agreement.

What is the reason of it? While I thought that I was pretty damn clear +- that there no "king's path"s from here to there. That NO modern tech can help to build an Ovo.

SAME as NO available tech and tools would allow brothers Write to make F-22. Or Black Bird, if you like. Or even Messershmit 109.

Only some toy-like construct out if wood planks, fabric and some nails. ;-p

But. Wasn't obvious -- that their design are grandpa of all modern flying machines?

    1. Isn't Gershenfeld trying to ID the twenty building blocks needed for a universal constructor, for all machines? And from then on won't there always be an "outside" need to set goals for them... to serve as a source of "desire" that non-biologics don't have?

      Delete
    2. And why any of that should be important???

Universal constructors? Desires? Etc, etc, etc???

    3. So far the evolution of all mechanical devices has really been the evolution of humans. Wouldn't it be nice if they evolved themselves. But they don't face threats, like "predators" that they need to 'adapt' to survive from. Their only worries are the external human parasites that seem to infect them... and do all their evolutionary duties for them... reproduction/ survival of the useful/ etc.

      Again.

      Yawn.

    6. And as a technologist, shouldn't your focus be on extending this cyborg evolutionary process? The "old fashioned" way... trying to develop the "next step" to fulfill an immediate human need, and not trying to be a Wright brother trying to invent technology for an F-22?

    7. There is a natural "order of things" that you're trying to anticipate and invent.... circumvent. Like Pre-Crime.

      That was not my choice.
Same as that was not Lem's choice -- to write about it in his Summa Technologia and Golem XIV.

Same way as... do you know about Tsiolkovski?
Poor village teacher... that leapfroged von Braun
With his ideas about rising into Space in rockets...

  6. Exploring non-understanding(khm, interesting etymology of this word -- staying under... for recieving knowlage, didn't you think about it? how weird it might be looking?;-) seems like darn interesting thing.
As in others, as in oneself.
But to do that in oneself, one need to have very kin eye.
As, one who observe knowing will be different person from previous non-knowing.

I remember my own struggles to understand how computer works (without access to any one, just from books) and what I was doing (playing with cards).
But... after gaining understanding -- I lost track if what I did not understand previously.

And in other people. It seems on misstaking words for a things. Or... broken model of reality.

Like just recently, one dude was unable to understand what Wi-Fi is. Though that is just a way of transmission data over radio waves.

And he even have proper education and really understand what radiowaves is.

But. Are not that kin with computers. So, when I was talking about MHzs and GHzs he wad able to grasp it.
But. When I mentioned Wi-Fi working over that broadband, his response was like: "Why you kidding me??? Wi-Fi is totally another thing!".

    :-)))))

    1. That's the problem, technology is advancing faster than epistemology (common understanding) can advance and incorporate it. In that respect it is "beyond the law". Not even "legal positivists" can keep up with it.

    2. The harm is done before the law can outlaw it.

    3. Yep.

People dieing. Children dieing. Is not a problem.

Some mumbo-jumbo (like is dRamp a felon?) -- THAT is THE problem.

      Sigh.

Problem of our civilization -- being TOO civil. Up to loosing sync with Reality.

      That's it.

    1. It has to. It's the first step of creating any society, especially if its' to be based in Natural Law and not legal positivism (which proscribes any "negative liberties" (as once existed in USA before everything became kitschy)
