Interesting, but hardly "new." Sort of a cross between the musical automata of the eighteenth century (for which Mozart composed on commission!) and a Rube Goldberg invention.
I was a bit surprised in this age of Super-Automation and increasing Robotization that so much active physical participation on the part of a knowledgeable human being is required to make the machine work.
