Pie ala Mode

  1. Banning Trump from twatter is plain stoooopid.

As is Nancy Peligro's 'impeach him!' There was no 'armed insurrection' but Trump, as always, was careless and arrogant with his choice of words.

His presidency ended a bit like it started: with chaos!

  2. Screaming "Insurrection!" is the latest red herring to get people to stop investigating voter fraud, that's all. When the world finds out that we've been using HAMMER and SCORECARD to change election results world wide, they're going to be p*ssed!

  3. There would have to actually be voter fraud in order to investigate it. Accusations are not evidence.

  4. There would? Mueller investigated a real conspiracy? Who knew?

  5. 'Voter fraud!' is the new 'Russia!'

  6. Trump lost fair and square. It's a mystery he didn't lose by a much higher margin, after losing the economy and fucking up the pandemic response. Discouraging his fans from using postal votes also didn't help him.

  7. There was no 'insurrection', never mind an 'armed' one. But Trump's constant drip-drip-drip insinuation that the election will be/has been stolen has led to these fanatic nutzies to storm Capitol hill. In the end after losing every possible legal challenge he still told people to protest and more.

Bye bye legacy, welcome all kinds of legal troubles. Well done Donnie!

  8. There is no fraud, save for Rudy Guiliani's hair color.

  9. Gert, a failed insurrection is still an insurrection.

  10. TC:

When an 'insurrection' is so badly organised and so small in scale, is it still an insurrection?

    FJ:

Polarisation in the US is now so severe than the losers of any election will cry foul! with some CT or other.

  11. The Democrats have contested every (R) presidential election in the House since 2000. When Dem's win, they've got no problems. The RINOs were always "go along to get along" and will sing electoral integrity regardless of party victory til their necks snap at the end of a Revolutionary noose.

Did any of these contests actually achieve the desired result?

    (Rhetorical question, BTW)

  13. Having watched much footage of the "insurrection" I can now attest that Beamish was there: the gas mask was a big giveaway!! :-) :-)

  14. "Did those nasty LARPers SCARE you, beamish?"

There's always been a permanent solution for rabid dogs. So, no.

Not so small. Keep in mind the Trump policy of deliberately killing as many Americans as possible with Covid-19 in pursuit of "herd immunity."

When it's a choice between malice and sheer incompetency, it's usually the latter at play.

Usually a solid diagnosis, but we've had a year of Trump dithering between denying Covid-19 exists and / or distributing relief and assistance based on loyalty. Trump is the first and hopefully last President that actually hates America.

  18. "Permanent solution"... how Aryan!"

    Here comes the snow again...

  19. Trump should perhaps teach us a cautionary lesson.

Most of us hate professional/establishment politicians, see the various populist movements around the globe. Well, in Trump the US got the ultimate, consumate 'non-politician' and the itinerant chaos to accompany that.

    'Careful what you wish for!'

  20. I'm sure Trump inciting his followers to attack the Capitol violates some federal law against abusing and taking advantage of mentally challenged people.

  21. Hmmm... I thought ALL Trump supporters are mentally challenged. A Pied Piper knows where to find his disciples...
