On the one hand, the unwritten rule that sustains a Democracy is that you're not supposed to openly criticize the election process, managers, or results of an Election, and this has been violated, but on the other hand, the election managers are supposed to actually HOLD a fair election.  That's what Slavoj's missing.  The 'Fascism' Zizek misses is also obscured by the shadows of the now politicized and no longer politically neutral Deep State and social system (media)  that throws a Cloak of Gyges over Democratic Party governmental and political abuses.
