American Potlatch - A Descent into Nihilism?

Forever Hoarding the Future's Accursed Shares?

Nietzsche, "Thus Spake Zarathustra" (Prologue)
When Zarathustra was thirty years old, he left his home and the lake of his home, and went into the mountains. There he enjoyed his spirit and solitude, and for ten years did not weary of it. But at last his heart changed,—and rising one morning with the rosy dawn, he went before the sun, and spake thus unto it:

Thou great star! What would be thy happiness if thou hadst not those for whom thou shinest!

For ten years hast thou climbed hither unto my cave: thou wouldst have wearied of thy light and of the journey, had it not been for me, mine eagle, and my serpent.

But we awaited thee every morning, took from thee thine overflow and blessed thee for it.

Lo! I am weary of my wisdom, like the bee that hath gathered too much honey; I need hands outstretched to take it.

I would fain bestow and distribute, until the wise have once more become joyous in their folly, and the poor happy in their riches.

Therefore must I descend into the deep: as thou doest in the evening, when thou goest behind the sea, and givest light also to the nether-world, thou exuberant star!

Like thee must I GO DOWN, as men say, to whom I shall descend.

Bless me, then, thou tranquil eye, that canst behold even the greatest happiness without envy!

Bless the cup that is about to overflow, that the water may flow golden out of it, and carry everywhere the reflection of thy bliss!

Lo! This cup is again going to empty itself, and Zarathustra is again going to be a man.

Thus began Zarathustra’s down-going.
Or as 'Q' would say... Y-A-W-N.....!

  1. I have that book.

Tried to read it... several times.

As much as to that scene of burial in a tree cavern.

    Found nothing interesting.

    But.

Feel free to reveal deep wisdom behind it.

But... I predict that you'll not... as much as I did with explaining Lem to you.

    And therefore... yawn, desr ingly.

    1. The video explains it... I added Zarathustra as a further example of the Sun's abundance... of the Giving in nature that opposes the "hording" of "surplus" in man. The opposition between the "farmer" and the "capitalist"... although the later makes money grow, it always asks "something in return" (interest). The Sun asks for nothing.

      Delete
    2. I suppose the farmer asks the same (a crop)... but in THAT case, the Sun does as the work supplying it (instead of a proletariate).

  2. //Technofeudalism is a term used to describe a modern economic system where big technology companies have power similar to feudal lords in the past. Instead of land, these companies control digital platforms, data, and online markets. People and smaller businesses rely on these platforms, just like peasants once relied on feudal lords for land and protection.

    What a BS.

But well, from one who dunno history.

    O.K.
    Quick introduction to you.
There was Early feudalism, middle and Late. What you refer too, that is reference to LATE one. Which practically turned into well known to us capitalism. But with retroactive (from slavery time) GOVERNMENT protected right of owning over people.

    And here is definition.
Feudalism was a social and political system in medieval Europe (roughly 9th to 15th centuries) characterized by a hierarchical structure based on land ownership and reciprocal obligations. At its core, it involved a relationship between lords, who owned land, and vassals, who were granted land (fiefs) in exchange for service and loyalty.

    And here is your BS.
Technofeudalism has some similarities to old feudal systems:

Control over platforms – Large companies own and manage platforms like social media, e-commerce, and cloud computing, deciding who can participate.
Dependence on Big Tech – Businesses and workers must follow platform rules to earn money, similar to how peasants depended on lords.
Data ownership – Tech companies collect and use personal data, which gives them more power over users.
Limited competition – A few companies dominate entire industries, making it hard for smaller businesses to compete.

As easy can be seen -- there is NOTHING in common.
Where's vassals? Whom they pledge loyalty???)))))
In our times when you can register at any platform, any time.

You just use it, because that is catch phrase and common narrative, at your place.
    Narrative that make people agitated.
