Contrary to idiotarian opinion "LOVE" does NOT mean acquiescence to the whims, desires and ambitions of another –– especially when you KNOW he is wrong.

True love requires one to stand on principle and uphold what one knows to be right regardless of what it might cost.

There can be no love without truth, because Truth and Love are in fact SYNONYMOUS.

"To every action there s an equal and opposite reaction."

The only thing that could possibly halt this seemingly inexorable vicious cycle would be got follow Christ's Example.

Resistance to that has been so massive on every conceivable level, that it appears to be an "Impossible Dream."

It's not, but it could only be achieved on an individual basis. Either you are for Christ, or you are against Him. There is no middle ground.

That the vast majority appear to be dead set against Our Master does nothing to obviate the sacred truth of His Divine Example.

___ THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM ___

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star.

~ Joe Darion (librettist for Man of La Mancha)

Perfect unity with God, the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the animating force behind Life, itself, is "The Impossible Dream" –– "The Unreachable Star." It is the constant STRIVING TOWARDS unattainable Perfection that blesses, and sanctifies our lives as individuals. Whether we ever REACH that goal is NOT important. Our strength –– and our Salvation –– comes from the stress and strain of Ceaseless Striving –– no matter what.

But to row against the tides of "history", of "progress" must certainly be "immoral".... "Morality consists in doing what is good. Goodness is that which will satisfy one's nature. Only that will satisfy one's nature which is part of the historical stream along which one is carried willy-nilly, i.e. that which "the future" in any case holds in store. In some ultimate sense, failure is proof of a misunderstanding of history, of having chosen what is doomed to destruction, in preference to that which is destined to succeed. But to choose the former is "irrational," and since morality is rational choice, to seek that which will not come off is immoral. "

...or so the "utilitarian/Marxist" argument goes.

Precisely. Don't really give a shit for people who are only conservatives and libertarians when they're not in a voting booth.
