Redemption

“Now there is a final reason I think that Jesus says, "Love your enemies." It is this: that love has within it a redemptive power. And there is a power there that eventually transforms individuals. Just keep being friendly to that person. Just keep loving them, and they can’t stand it too long. Oh, they react in many ways in the beginning. They react with guilt feelings, and sometimes they’ll hate you a little more at that transition period, but just keep loving them. And by the power of your love they will break down under the load. That’s love, you see. It is redemptive, and this is why Jesus says love. There’s something about love that builds up and is creative. There is something about hate that tears down and is destructive. So love your enemies. (from "Loving Your Enemies")”
― Martin Luther King Jr.

Of course He does. Love the sinner...

The question all of us should ask is not, "Does GOD love ME?"

Instead we should concern ourselves with how much WE love GOD.

Can't it be said Satan loves God enough to have aspired to be God? Wasn't all the love and worship God recieves what Satan wanted for himself?

Satan's name was originally 'Natas'. That was before he went underground!

LOL Gert. I prefer to ask theological questions to non-theologians. Get the most interesting answers that way, and nobody is wrong until the scimitars come out.

The scimitars? That's a new one to me...

Watches a doc about polygamist fundamentalist Mormons t'other day. Almost reconciled me with the US: such shiny happy people! :-)

As regards God's Real Name, ask the Jews. ;-)

But not Beakerkin: he's a Fallen Angel... ;-)

Not really interested in God's real name. It's probably unpronounceable anyway, or weird shit happens when you say it like every nation stops being a currency manipulator.

God's real name, eh? How quaint! A foolish preoccupation of chronic gameplayers –– cynics who could not –– and should never –– be taken seriously.

I will add that any God that forbids eating bacon is worthy of rebelling against.
