It would be nice if we could put reality ahead of philosophy and stop being so wedded to our isms. "Capitalism," we are told, is like the 10 Commandments, all rolled up in one, of America. Only on the most far left, or among theocratic sorts, do you hear any talk of moving away from it, or doing without it, or ignoring it. It is our "Fukuyama taboo." But unfortunately, most average Americans just threw up their hands years ago. They don't see any alternatives or options available to them.

I would refer you to the thesis of the previous post on "wisdom".

As Hamlet said, "My thoughts be bloody or of nothing worth."

America is still 3/4th's coward... Have you cause, will, strength, and "means to do it"?

I barely have the strength to walk and talk these days, FJ! ;)

Hang in there Jersey! The chemo does end... I wish I could say you'll come back stronger. But ten years out, I never made it all the way back. :(
