“They saw their injured country's woe;
The flaming town, the wasted field;
Then rushed to meet the insulting foe;
They took the spear, - but left the shield.”
It's amazing that the photos were such high quality, considering the equipment and techniques...especially when the subject was in motion. The hot air baloon photo amazes me.
hehe. and we think we need more megapixels to get better photos! :p
I wonder if Ducky's house was in the Boston picture from the hot air balloon? ;)I love these old photo's... a glimpse back in time!
I wonder if Ducky's house was in the Boston picture from the hot air balloon? ;)-----Yes, didn't you see the "Tilden for President" poster in the window? (courtesy of Wiki....):-) Duck was out streetshooting with his 8x10 tintype camera that day. (HA! I crack myself up...)
I did.... ;)...who knew that the duck was ultimately responsible for the establishment of the modern "surveillance" state. ;P
I love the old pictures. What a shame "they" found the way to plague us with the rotten commercial Blogger blessedly used to omit for us!That's just come in in the pas few days.Whenever "we" find something really GOOD "they" always seem to find a way to spoil or at best diminish it for "us."
I hadn't noticed. What did they do?
What did "they" do?They stuck a lousy stinking COMMERCIAL in front of the video. ha's what "the" did, damn "their" souls!Blogger USED to filter out the commercials when we posted videos, but Alas! no more.It REEKS!
