What's Your Problem?

OLD MAN: What is it that’s green, hangs on the wall, and whistles?
YOUNG MAN: I don’t know. What is it?
OLD MAN: A red herring.
YOUNG MAN: But it isn’t green.
OLD MAN: So you can paint it green.
YOUNG MAN: But it doesn’t hang on the wall.
OLD MAN: There’s a law saying you can’t hang it on the wall?
YOUNG MAN: But it doesn’t whistle.
OLD MAN: No, it doesn’t whistle... I just threw that in to make it hard to solve

Zizek looks good in red. He should wear it more often.

"All this struggling and striving to make the world better is a great mistake; not because it isn't a good thing to improve the world, if you know how to do it, but because striving and struggling is the worst way you could set about doing anything."

~ G. B. Shaw (1856-1950)

"Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

~ C.S. Lewis (1898-1963)

OUR problem might be summed up thusly:

A State of Perpetual Indignation Over Calculatedly Divisive, Increasingly Petty, Artificial Concerns Conjured Up by Leftists to Confuse the Populace, Weaken Understanding, and Increase Dependency, Thus Creating a Climate Ripe for a Mammoth Power Grab Rendering All Virtual Prisoners in a Gulag.

The attempt to feature "Caitlyn Jenner" as an appropriate subject for National Concern alone proves my thesis as stated above.

Caitlyn Jenner is most certainly no concern of mine.

America doesn't suffer from a "tolerance" deficet so much as a virtue deficit.

Yes, Tersires, somehow we've euchred into believing that tolerating and accepting the very worst aspects of the Human Condition is VIRTUOUS. So Vie today is thought virtuous and Virtue vicious.

That's Cultural Marxism for you in a nutshell.

Self-Control, Thoughtfulness, Thrift and Discipline are OUT, and SIN is IN. WHOOPEE!!!

This is what happens when a Western Society tries to function without respect for the Christian God, who is the basis for all worthy principles, and sound judgment in personal relationships and everyday transactions.

God IS Principle, Truth, Love, Intelligence Creativity, and Life, itself, so how could any sane person expect to do well without "Him?" ["Him" being a convenient, longstanding term of reference, not a literal definition.]
