At Last! Something "modern" –– or must we call it "POST-modern" now? –– that makes intelligent, palatable, remarkably original reuse of time-honored musical elements.

I can't begin to comprehend the "texts," but the music, itself, is a refreshing surprise. I was a little disappointed wen the seeingly obigatory DruM BEAT finally entered the mix that nearly spoiled it for me, because the ubiquitous, new-primitive beat-beat-beat of the tom-tom has become so banal ever since Rock 'n Roll was craftily foisted on Western Culture as a Poison Pill to speed its demise.

However, in this all-too-rare instance I must applaud the relatively light, hardly intrusive application of percussion, even though I'd love to see it disappear altogether –– even if only now and then.

Good luck to this young man!

I'm reminded of this gem from 1965: Tom Lehrer's brilliant-if-utterly-confounding explanation of NEW MATH:

Don't miss it, even if ou HAVE heard it before. It's a classic.

I'm must agree with FreeThinke, although the percussion added to the number for me. Maybe because I like rhythm and blues? :)

Who knew that I was so good at "New Math" (which is the math I learned as a kid).

The gravity of such topics ALWAYS brings me down. :(

Check out Evo-Devo @ Acapella Science. Cool tune and beat.

That was pretty cute. This is the kind of sh*t that educators should be making and using.

FT should love his most recent effort.
