A New Jersualem

And did those feet in ancient time,
Walk upon Englands mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
On Englands pleasant pastures seen!

And did the Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills?

Bring me my Bow of burning gold;
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In Englands green & pleasant Land

A prayer for Ingeland? That doesn't even sound like a bad idea right now!

Sometimes naught is under your, or my, control. We must trust to the hands of Providence. ;)

I thought we were going to "take back control"

W/O corresponding anti-corporate legislative action, the Brexit will have been for naught. Big government, big labor, big corporations... they're ALL the enemy. You need tariffs to protect your small enterprises from outside (global) competition, and domestic legislation to incrementally over-tax "bigness".

The petite bourgeois were never communism's enemy. The kulaks and small farmers were never an enemy of the state. The enemy is the large "public or private" collective.

Capitalism-writ-small serves the (many) public good(s) [A thousand plateaus]. Capitalism-writ-large serves only the capitalist [arboreal][Deleuze and Guattare].

Any anti-neoliberal Brexiteers will be sorely disappointed if they think Gove/Johnson/Farage have even one anti-neoliberal/anti-austerity bone between them. The only credible anti-neoliberal militant, Jeremy Corbyn, faces a rebellion by Blairites and I doubt if he’ll survive.

The New King Boris looked decidedly forlorn as victor, seeing as this thing divided the country between old/young, North/South, England-Wales/Scotland –N.Ireland, City/country and more, and that a Leave victory wasn't really expected anyway. Conservatives themselves face an internal war and it isn’t just a leadership struggle either.

Break-up of the Union is now very probable too. Thank you, David!

From Cool Brittania to Broken Britain in 24 long hours, what a difference a day makes.

It feels like a nation of self-harmers now...

Thersites' small-capitalism ideas are intriguing, but I don't think they have anything to do with what's likely to happen here.

I agree. Small capitalists don't have the wherewithal to manufacture consent like the big boys (corporations/ government) can.
