“They saw their injured country's woe;
The flaming town, the wasted field;
Then rushed to meet the insulting foe;
They took the spear, - but left the shield.”
―Philip Freneau

And by a prudent flight and cunning save A life which valour could not, from the grave. A better buckler I can soon regain, But who can get another life again?

Good Lord! He spent more than THREE FULL MINUTES telling us what he is PLANNING to tell us, A poor practice if you hope to achieve effective communiation skills.
He's guilty of practicing "ANALYTISPEAK." In other words he addresses US as though we were hopelessly ignorant know-nothings. In other words he's CONDESCENDING as he bears down hard on things that have been painfully obvious to most intelligent people for many decades at least.
I think his manner is SOPHOMORIC –– like a callow teenager pretending to be a wise, well-informed adult. What HE regards as REVELATORY is simply tedious, woefully unimaginative an lacking insight.
He's a theologian. I found the 6 part series "informative". He even mentions Slavoj at one point. I even liked his interpretation of apocalyptic symbolism of Revelations.
apocalypse (n.) late 14c., "revelation, disclosure," from Church Latin apocalypsis "revelation," from Greek apokalyptein "uncover, disclose, reveal," from apo "off, away from" (see apo-) + kalyptein "to cover, conceal," from PIE root *kel- (1) "to cover, conceal, save." The Christian end-of-the-world story is part of the revelation in John of Patmos' book "Apokalypsis" (a title rendered into English as pocalipsis c. 1050, "Apocalypse" c. 1230, and "Revelations" by Wyclif c. 1380).

In short he's INSUFFERABLE.

His interpretation of the nature of original sin was both novel, to me, and made sense.
Well, old friend, you quite evidetly enjoy heavy doses of ANALYTISPEAK
.I do NOT.
From his physical appearnce, manner, and droning,supercilious mode of delivery the guy is an absolute DRIP.
But if heappels to YOU that's fine with me.
In addition to this being Easter Weekend, yesterday happened to be my 79th birthday.
I celebrated by making a new Chopin recording which was illustrated and posted on YouTube today.
A minor miracle for one at my age an in my condition.
i give God the credit, because I have sense enough to know I couldn't have done it without His help.
I hopr you and your Mrs. are having a HAPPY EASTER?.
