Schizophrenia is a psychiatric diagnosis characterized by continuous or relapsing episodes of psychosis. Major symptoms include hallucinations (typically hearing voices), delusions, and disorganized thinking. Other symptoms include social withdrawal, decreased emotional expression, and apathy. Symptoms typically come on gradually, begin in young adulthood, and in many cases never resolve. There is no objective diagnostic test; the diagnosis is used to describe observed behavior that may stem from numerous different causes. Besides observed behavior, doctors will also take a history that includes the person's reported experiences, and reports of others familiar with the person, when making a diagnosis. To diagnose someone with schizophrenia, doctors are supposed to confirm that symptoms and functional impairment are present for six months (DSM-5) or one month (ICD-11). Many people with schizophrenia have other mental disorders that often includes an anxiety disorder such as panic disorder, an obsessive–compulsive disorder, or a substance use disorder....to free "Desire." The delirium of schizophrenia is "freed desire". Like delirium, capitalism de-codes, but it does so only so that it can trap our desires in new systems of control for the goal of "profit".
Schizophrenia is a line of flight crossing all territories (doctor-body, psychoanalytic-neural, ideological, political, dasein/world view). Schizo-analysis hates the idea that desire is a lack (Lacan)... it needs to be a production.
To commit to an identity is to have your desire captured and encircled by the State, or by capitalism and as a "minority" you have accepted the State's definition of you and become a "statistic" or a "demographic", that is you become "molar" instead of becoming "MINOR" and thereby eluding the State.
The native tongues collective is a small movement that follows the schizo line of deterritoriralization uniting history, art, music and style in a movement of identity creation.
There are three characteristics of a MINOR literature, 1) deterritorialization of the language (ie through music), 2) the connection of the individual to a political immediacy, and 3) the collective assemblage of enunciation. MINOR no longer designates specific literatures, but the revolutionary conditions for every literature within the heart of the established literature.
Keep your desire out in front (capitalism is a rear-guard action).

Only one of my personalities has been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. The others were denied the right to incorporate for tax purposes due to preexisting conditions.

You probably could make do with dividing by total number of papers/year published in the field, you can game the metric by playing with categorisation of papers, but it saves you from throwing out arbitrarily recent work.
I suppose you could also devise a means of weighting by population in the time period to prevent the vast number authors of the present from overwhelming the authors of the past (a world of 100m souls vs one of 6b).
