It occurs to me that we have regulated the masculine manifestations of aggression through laws against direct aggression but we have not, and frankly cannot, regulate the feminine manifestations of indirect aggression. Shame, rallying, gossip, and character assassination are examples of the feminine manifestations of aggression. You can't really create laws against relational and social aggression, not enforceable ones.

• Giving the silent treatment: Refusing to speak to someone as a form of punishment or to make them feel isolated. 
• Using non-verbal cues: Expressing negativity or disapproval through gestures, facial expressions, or body language. 
• Backhanded compliments: Offering compliments that also contain a negative or dismissive undertone. 
• Betraying secrets: Revealing someone's private information to others without their consent. 
• Using others as pawns: Manipulating others to carry out actions that harm a target person.
