Vacuum Structures

feudalism, Term that emerged in the 17th century that has been used to describe economic, legal, political, social, and economic relationships in the European Middle Ages. Derived from the Latin word feudum (fief) but unknown to people of the Middle Ages, the term “feudalism” has been used most broadly to refer to medieval society as a whole, and in this way may be understood as a socio-economic system that is often called manorialism. It has been used most narrowly to describe relations between lords and vassals that involve the exchange of land for military service

Top to down hierarchy.
Simplest structure.

King want to keep his power over land. Land he secured in a fight with other kungs and wanna-be-kings. As well as roaming bandits.

But, here is a catch -- he physically cannot be present in all corners of his land. Simultaneously.

And he cannot leave ir as is...

so what's the solution of such technoligical task?

What can you propose? ;-)

Hoh. Asked g00gle

Technofeudalism is a modern economic (sic!!!)theory suggesting that traditional capitalism has ended. In this new model, big tech corporations act like medieval lords, and regular people act like serfs. Instead of owning land, tech giants own digital platforms and cloud networks, forcing everyone to pay rent or surrender data for access.

Key Features of Technofeudalism
Digital Landlords: Companies like Amazon, Google, Apple, and Meta own the digital "land" where online life happens.

Rent Instead of Profit: Money is made through fees and data extraction rather than competitive market production.

Loss of Choice: Users and small businesses depend on these giant platforms to function in daily life.

Behavior Control: Algorithms shape what people want and how they behave online

Well. O.K.

Now I see from where it coming. And why you pounding it, si much.

Well, just a regukar nei-marxust's bs.

Yawn.

//Digital Landlords: Companies like Amazon, Google, Apple, and Meta own the digital "land" where online life happens.

And? From where shoukd come money to pay for infrastructure???

Or idiots who poundung about that -- think that datacenters grow on a tree??? Available for free? Do not need electricity? And stuff of workers do not need salary???

During the US Revolution (1776) men who enlisted in Continental Army were promised 500 acres of land, and officers 1,000 acres. After the war, those lands were granted in Ohio.

Sharecropping In America, a story - African American Registry

Sharecropping in the post-Civil War U.S. South shared functional similarities with European feudalism—such as trapping workers in cycles of debt and tying them to the land—but it was legally and economically distinct, functioning instead as a capitalist-driven agrarian contract.

Key Similarities to Feudalism

Debt Bondage: Sharecroppers relied on credit for seeds, tools, and food, accumulating perpetual debt that legally or practically forced them to stay on the same land year after year.

Immobility: Just as serfs were bound to manorial estates, Southern laws and economic coercion often made it illegal or impossible for indebted sharecroppers to move or seek other work.

Subjugation: Laborers sat at the bottom of a rigid social hierarchy dominated by wealthy landowners.

Key Differences from Feudalism

Contractual vs. Status-Based: Feudalism was a quasi-governmental system of reciprocal legal obligations, military protection, and hereditary status. Sharecropping was an economic market contract without traditional lord-vassal protections or duties.

No Direct Political Authority: Landlords in the American South did not hold official judicial or governing rights over sharecroppers; state laws and Jim Crow policies enforced control.

Capitalist Market Logic: Sharecropping operated within a broader national and global capitalist economy, driven by cash crops like cotton and commercial credit markets, rather than a self-contained manorial economy.

They never got their promised "40 acres and a mule".

Feudalism was based upon commoditized land. Technofeudlaism is based upon commoditized information spaces (Cloud Capital)

Core Distinctions Explained

1. Fiefdoms of Land vs. Platforms of Code

Under manorialism, power belonged to those who physically controlled geography and weaponized armor. If a peasant wished to eat, they had to walk onto the lord's field. In technofeudalism, the "fiefdoms" are digital interfaces like Amazon, Apple, or Alphabet. If a business ("vassal capitalist") wishes to sell a product or an individual wishes to communicate, they must step into these digital estates and pay a platform toll.

2. Physical Coercion vs. Algorithmic Modification

Manorialism relied on raw physical, legal, and spiritual coercion to force compliance; leaving the manor without permission was a crime. Technofeudalism achieves compliance through convenience and behavioral conditioning. Rather than physical walls, it uses network lock-ins, algorithmic feedback loops, and digital dependencies to dictate what users view, buy, and think—effectively stripping away economic agency while keeping the user scrolling willingly.

3. Autarkic Survival vs. Hyper-Financialization

The medieval manor arose because central authority collapsed, trade stopped, and a non-cash economy took over. It was a low-tech survival mechanism.

Technofeudalism is the exact opposite: it is an ultra-high-tech system born out of central bank liquidity, complex corporate monopolies, and the global flow of venture capital. It does not retreat from the global market; it swallows it.

Great walls of China to delay invaders and force them into chokepoints (the hot gates). Castles with moats. Firebases along borders with artillery (Strategic Hamlet Program). Citadels inside occupied cities (Parthenon). Quick reaction forces (Air Cavalry). Forts.

Cyber warriors to protect the digital spaces.

Feudalism did not end on a single date. It faded away over hundreds of years starting in the 14th century, with legal systems ending during the French Revolution in 1789, and remaining parts lasting into the 19th and 20th centuries.

Key Causes of DeclineThe Black Death (1347–1351): Killed huge numbers of people, making workers and farm labor rare and much more valuable.

Growth of Towns: Trade and money economies allowed people to live outside the traditional manorial system.

New Military Tech: Cannons, firearms, and longbows made armored knights on horses useless, removing the military base of feudal power.

Timeline by RegionEngland: Faded through the 1400s and 1500s, with the Tenures Abolition Act passing in 1660.France: Formally and totally abolished on August 4, 1789, during the French Revolution.Central and Eastern Europe: Abolished later; serfdom ended in Russia in 1861.Last Remnant: The tiny island of Sark in the Channel Islands kept a feudal system until 2008.

New tech isn't leverage? For every elite "who knows better" there is an anti-elite who opposes him. You need a coalition of anti-elites who are willing to politically oppose the elites "who know better". The struggle is eternal.

If only everything was *THAT* simple.

The digital sphere. Do internet hosts pay you for the information they collect about you and sell to other companies? Or are you just a cloud-serf who owns none of the content you produce? Do you have any data rights? Why isn't what you produce protected by Intellectual Property (IP) laws? The IP of Corporations is protected, why not yours? It doesn't have "intangible" asset value?

Why are Trademarks and Brand Assets recorded with a book value of near $0 under standard accounting practices despite having real-world fair market value? Because the market is not "fair". The technofeudal lords have appropriated it all for themselves.
