“They saw their injured country's woe;
The flaming town, the wasted field;
Then rushed to meet the insulting foe;
They took the spear, - but left the shield.”

Merry Christmas!
Just beat your own drums, people! That's all you need to do!
Thank you, nicrap! The quietest day in America was today. I took my dogs for a walk around 6 am and there was no roar of traffic... just an honest silence. It was nice. :)
Due to circumstances (family illness), Mr. AOW and I stayed home this Christmas Eve -- for the first time ever since we've been married. We're not crying the blues over such a quiet Christmas Eve. No grinches here. It was a relief not to be required to do anything.

Merry Christmas my friend! Enjoy your family and your time off work and don't be too grinchy. ;-)
I'll try, Thanks. :)

Well, may the God you don't believe in bless you, ANYWAY -- despite your impudence and manifold sins -- or maybe BECAUSE of it! •<);-}>

Thanks, AoW!
My daughter is working this morning, so the Mrs. and I have the house to ourselves, and we are very much enjoying the quiet. ;)
Merry Christmas, FJ
