Can America Develop a Desire for Fascism...? Has it Already Done so?

And what's tha problem with becoming fascists?

Historically, fascism is pretty natural and not outstanding type of government AT ALL.

If you'd know history of Europe, you'd know that trivia, that practicly HALF of countries in it was fascistic.
And changed to other types in pretty natural ways... no WWs needed, no Hitler-kiling. ;-P

Or... question was about USA bacoming NAZIs? NAZIs... that is quite different story.

As NAZIs it's national-SOCIALISTS.

So, better ask yourself -- can USA became SOCIALISTIC. ;-P

That's funny, I have a completely different idea of fascism than you probably have. Most see the symbol for fascism, and think that's it. I see it as the "untying" of the bundle of stick/axes, and the use of them by a politician's lictors. More a "portable arsenal" for use against a populist crowd.

What relation you have to fascism?
Real. Historical. European phenomena.

Well, for short.
Fascism -- that is inverse of Democracy.
Or, just second face of that two-faced Janus ;-).

Well, you know it from your ancient books -- ohlocracy, rule of popuism.

Well... if Hitler in Germany would not see that dire need to exterminate Jews... would German Nazis would even be blamed so much. Would they became atheistic Satan of modern days??? ;-P

America's founders idealized the Roman system, and the presidency concentrated the powers of a dictator (or two consuls Pres/VP))... with certain "checks and balances". not another consul or more powerful VP, but Congress itself (the Senate representing the optimates and Roman Senate and House representing the populares/ tribunes of the plebs). They also took away the power of "Judging" criminals, and put that in the SCotUS/Courts/Judicial branch. Again, separation of powers.

And Hitler needed to blame the Jews. He never would have risen to power with them as a scapegoat for all of Germany's social ills.

Scapegoat/Jaws.

Fascists put all of a Communist's fears into one basket.... fascism.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

Perhaps a better way, "Communists put all their own fears into one basket fascistm... and fascists put all their own fears into one basket, communism.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

A simplification of all the complexity... a "hypernormalisation" of it to make it "understandable"

Wasn't that just tweaked a little English system?

And Effect of Second system in general? ;-)

Yep.
That's what I'm talking about. "Treaks inside treaks".
Any such things. In History. Have some inner fine structure.
Percieving which is much more important... than all that moral preachings from old as the world books.

Because not that books define the World.
But such little "options".
You know, like in computer, like in your smartphone. ;-)
There. Almost in every app there is neat little (or not that neat, and not that little) page called "Settings/Options/Configuration... etc".

That is what all that proponents of "friendly AI" do not know.

That SkyNet from MakeEmAllSweetsNet... can differ just in ONE of such innocent little checkboxes, somwhere deep deep inside that settings. ;-P

The same as us, humans.

Perhaps... but the English system had only recently evolved (1648-1688) from what remained of the Roman and subsequent English "kings" (Charters granted in 1067), who had formerly occupied Brittainia.

Because not that books define the World.

Ah... you forgot the unwritten rules. like when to "jailbreak" your phone. ;)

It's what makes humans so "adaptable" (social evolution).

...anti-fragile. :)

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

Rules about whether to compete... or to cooperate.

My writing skills still far from perfect...

why do you think that my "options"... is about something else? ;-)

Ask the man who broke the Human Genome Project and proved them all "fools".... and for that was ostracized/ erased from history.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

He perfected shotgun sequencing, and proved that it was the right/fastest approach to sequencing the genome.

Isn't that what life is? Nobody hires landscapers to construct his jungle unless he's Walt Disney. Me, I only curate Folly Gardens... like Desert de Retz when we already live in the best of all possible worlds, ala Voltaire, "Candide".

Question is -- Life defines us, or... we can try to define it. ;-)

Dasein. Being in the world.

I prefer not this world... but world of the Future. ;-P

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

The future begins with the first step.
