“They saw their injured country's woe;
The flaming town, the wasted field;
Then rushed to meet the insulting foe;
They took the spear, - but left the shield.”

Got Leverage?
"The Art of the Deal" isn't Rocket Science. It's "art"
That's what collective guilt-pride does to you. It makes you stupid. Like the Germans after WWII vis a vis the Jews. Like the Democrats after the Civil Way vis a vis the Blacks (and doubly today). And like the Colonial Powers after wWII vis a vis their colonial nations races.
As Hannah Arendt said, "There is no such thing as collective guilt or collective innocence; guilt and innocence make sense only if applied to individuals.”
The "collective ethic" makes the collective that identifies with it, "Stupid". And white guilt-pride is a stupid collective ethic.
Expected your response. White Supremacists love to use that argument. They feel it absolve them of recognizing the TRUTH of their ancestors unethical choices. Choices that left untold scars on indigenous peoples across the globe.
Don't buy your bunk now and won't in the future. Yet I feel no guilt. Just a deep recognition as well as understanding why people of color have trouble trusting White People. Especially people with your mindset.
The same. And my ancestors understood the impact slavery had on black people during slavery as well as the governmwnr sanctioned instructional racism that followed people of color to this very day. Unlike you and yours.
60 years of patronizing them hasn't helped them one bit. Enough is enough. The institutional neoracism of Affirmative Action and DEI has made them weak and dependent. Time to stop handicapping them and make them stand on their own feet.
Its going to get ever faker until the veil of internet and digital anonimity gets lifted. This is the age of "profilicity"... just one step further away from "sincerity" as an identity technology.
The change that is made, the linguistic change, is not merely a swapping out of terminology. It's not one word concept superseding another. It's a transformation in the very operation and the very structure of language. That is the form that legislating values takes in Practical terms. It's a revision, or in this case a full reversal, of the way that language operates. The very goals of language are altered. Language in the previous era was this act of mutual recognition and jubilation in oneself, and one's own goodness, and in the goodness of everyone in the group. The Pauline intervention reverses every one of those aspects.

Nope and Nope.
Maybe Iran can break the trend of many years?
Netanyahu has a desire to initiate the apocalypse.
Then he should nuke them and get it over with.
Or, they should nuke the Zionist Butcher and get it over with.
They don't have a nuke, unless Pakistan gave them one.
Perhaps they should.
One less bomb to drop on India!
Pakistan is afraid of India. Mutual self destruction and all that. As is India.
The world should hope neither has a Netanyahu or Trump.
And Huckabee, what raving moronic Christian Nationalist. Hope Trump ignores his bullsh*t.
Defining Trumpism and America today.

My ancestors ended slavery. What did yours do?

...and you're the one who gelded them.
We will continue to disagree.
And I know that I, and muti millions of other people are right in our views.
Once again you're wrong.
It's the well intentioned stupid people who always do the most harm.
I've actually done nothing. Except speak truth. As I see it. Truth to power. Truth to the tRump Orange Diarrhea of lies.
Ad hominem only dilutes whatever truth you speak.
The right needs to learn that IN SPADES.
Then... teach em.
But, and that is a sad truthabout demns -- they courageous only while in their comfy echo-chambers ;-p
The right fights racism, hard AND soft.
...but we try and do it in a colourblind way. The MLK, Jr. way (as opposed to the Critical Race Theory way).
@Q,
They'd rather be SEEN to be supportive of blacks than actually BE supportive of them.
Not coming through
YAP! )))
Faking until you make it??? Naaah )))). Faking, faking, faking... all way down. ))))
Well. Let's for how long it will exist.
