Is the World Dying from Consumption?

Oh yes, we are living in a society of consumption. No one is happy unless they are buying, and buying, and then some. When is enough - enough? When do people thank God, that is if they believe in God? Christian, Jew, or whatever one is or not, consumption in excess is greed and gluttony and that is a sin and morally wrong. Who lives on earth forever? So why all this buying? Insanity!

It has become our "culture" and our "spirits" have become trapped in consumerism. The message from every side has become "Enjoy!", to the point at which it has become a secular "Commandment".

Consumerism is the price we pay for the 'shareholder society'.

It'll all end in tears, no doubt...
